@jlawhorn1975 Nobody denies the right of Ukraine to fight Russia for as long as they want, however they want. The issue Obama was addressing there, and I'm raising here, is whether the US should treat this war like a proxy war and risk confrontation with Russia and nuclear war over Ukraine

Obama, 2016, when neocon @JeffreyGoldberg demanded to know what he wouldn't arm Ukraine: "Ukraine is a core Russian interest but not an American one." Liberals and their neocon leaders, 2022: Why, yes, I do think Ukraine is important enough to risk nuclear war over.

@BMarchetich @MintPressNews @Consortiumnews Like I said, I know it's super important for liberals and especially leftists to believe big corporate power is against them. It's only true for radical leftists on imperialism and war (Ukraine, Israel, NATO, etc.). On culture/social issues, corp. censorship is against the right.

A series of "crises" have been cynically and aggressively exploited to inexorably restrict the range of permitted views, and expand pretexts for online silencing and deplatforming. Trump's election, Russiagate, 1/6, COVID and war in Ukraine all fostered new methods of repression.

@tcpoasting I don't know if you heard, but NATO expansion has been occurring consistently and aggressively long before Russia invaded Ukraine, spearheaded by many including Bush and Cheney, who liberals now realize were ideological fellow travelers.

Recall that all 79 NO votes in the Congress on Biden's $40b war package "for Ukraine" came from Republicans: every last NO vote. As international leftist leaders (Lula, M茅lenchon, Corbyn, AMLO, etc.) oppose it, every single Democrat (from Bernie and AOC to the rest) voted YES.

Highlighting the radical difference between the international left and whatever passes for the US "left" (just a branding flank of the Dem Party), Jeremy Corbyn urges the West to stop arming Ukraine, arguing it's just prolonging the war with no benefits:

I was just on Fox discussing what I still regard as the single worst journalistic and political scandal of the last decade - the CIA-manufactured lie about the documents revealing Biden's activities in China and Ukraine ("Russian disinformation") - and the role the media played.

Zelensky's top economic aide decrees JPMorgan, HSBC and Citi are all guilty of "war crimes" for continuing to do business with Russians. He says Ukraine is keeping a list and when it wins, vows all their managers will pay with prosecutions at the Hague:

@Jon44444444 Even Obama's former CIA chief and Pentagon chief Leon Panetta has said from the start what is undeniable true: that Ukraine is a proxy war for the US:
