@P_Kallioniemi @tuairiscnuacht are happy enough that their columnist harrasses a Ukrainian refugee and spreads outward lies and disinformation about Ukraine. This is especially interesting given that they are funded by the Irish taxpayers.

I figured why leftist Russian shills enrage me even more than far-right. The far-right just found us on the map and hate us for being foreigners. But the leftist thoroughly support Russia's efforts to wipe out Ukraine. They praise this war, Holodomor, Soviet terror, gulags.

@cryptodrftng Yeah love how 'Ukraine must do peace now' are happy with forced deportations and adoption of Ukrainian children in Russia. Like is that something they surely would love if that was done to their children? No. But doing that to Ukrainian children is grand, apparently.

My experience with Irish academic community since the invasion is one of overwhelming support. I know about an upcoming Irish academic event where Ukrainian scholars will talk about history of Ukraine. I don't know how @tcddublin managed to avoid Ukrainian scholarship so well.

I'm a scholar of Irish studies, so it's not the matter that I personally was not invited. I find it hard to understand how at this time when Russia is destroying Ukraine, our culture and heritage, academics can shut out Ukrainian scholarship on Ukraine like this.
